study of a bee

Such a patient bee; it never left its perch while i fired away. My only regret was having to work with the last few minutes of evening light.

Very nice sequence of images of the bee. I find that bees are not very active in the early morning. Sometimes I can find them still sleeping

Very nice male Melissodes. This genus is virtually impossible to get to genus by photograph though and not much easier with material in hand.

You did quite good with that last glimer of available light there mowse. Nice, sharp, and clean photographs. I can't say that I have ever seen a powder blue colored bee before and I find it quite a refreshing change of pace. Very beautiful. :D
