Zeiss 160mm parts for sale

Post by Tardigrade37 »

Hi all,

I am moving to an infinity-corrected scope and, as difficult as it may be, I'm thinking of parting with my collection of 160mm Zeiss scopes. I have 2 Type II DIC condensers (one long-working 0.63 NA, one 1.4 NA), DIC sliders for Plan 6.3x, Plan 16x, Plan 40x, LD Plan 40x, and Plan 100x, as well as the corresponding objectives. I have a ridiculous amount of objectives including a Planapo 63x, Planapo 63x Ph3, Planapo 100x Ph3, Plan-Neofluar 16x Ph2 multi-immersion, Planapo 25x, 3 Planapo 10x, Planapo 4x, etc....

I am sick of dealing with Ebay, so if anyone on here is interested, please contact me. I can provide pictures and lists of what I have, etc; I don't have anything prepared yet, but I could by the end of the upcoming weekend.

Thanks!

Chris

Hi Gary,
You can send me a private message and I'll send you my email address (I don't want to post it here where spam bots can get it).

Also interested in some Zeiss gear

Post by Hokan »

Hello,
I have a couple of Zeiss Axiomats I am supporting. Looking for 32mm filters, especially thermal protective filters. DIC condensers, 46 52 86, 46 52 74, Condenser head 1.4 Pol, 46 52 68. DIC Prisms for condenser har 1.4 Pol, 43 44 08 and 43 44 09. And just to check all possibilities also looking for Phase contrast condenser 0.9, 46 52 93.
The Inverted, transmitted Axiomat can use almost all of the "pancake" condensers used by the Zeiss "grayline" of microscopes. As well as a large number of accessories used with the dedicated "grayline" inverted microscopes.

very much appreciate anything you may offer,

regards,
William

Hi William,
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I have anything that will work for you - perhaps the condensers for the Axiomats were unique to that stand? I have the following condensers:

Inko 1.4 NA part number 46 52 85 - 9901
achr. apl. 1,4 strain-free top 46 52 68 (small bit of delamination) - I did notice that this can be purchased from Zeiss for ~$500
Prism I for <= 16x lenses 43 44 04
Prism II >= 40x lenses 43 44 05
Ph 2 annulus
Ph 3 annulus
J brightfield
open III position with aperture for specialty DIC prism

Inko (Phako IV Z7) 0.63 NA part number 46 52 73 - 9900
apl. 0,63 strain-free top no part number - this can also be purchased from Zeiss
Prism I for <= 16x lenses 46 52 73 (some delamination)
Prism II >= 40x lenses 43 52 73 (some delamination)
LWD Ph 2 annulus
LWD Ph 3 annulus
J brightfield
open III position with aperture for specialty DIC prism

Phase 1.4 NA part number 46 52 77 - 9905
achr. apl. 1,4 top no part number
Ph 2 annulus
Ph 3 annulus
Darkfield stop
J brightfield
3 open positions with no apertures (presumably for other phase annuli or?)

Zeiss Condensers

Post by Hokan »

Hi,
Good of you to check out your gear for me. All of the DIC condensers, especially the 46 52 68, the 43 44 08, and the 43 4409 are standard 160mm condenser accessories.
You are right all of the condensers for the Axiomat are unique, except the condensers for the inverted, transmitted Axiomat configuration. When the Axiomat is configured as such you can think of it as a 300lb IM35 or ICM 405 Zeiss Inverted Microscope!
The difficulty in acquiring these condensers and DIC prisms is these condensers and prisms are usually installed in a 160mm rotating condenser. Sort of hard to ask someone to just sell me the condenser and prism without purchasing the entire 160mm condenser.
How much are you asking for 46 52 85? You stated that Zeiss still sells these condensers. Can you tell who/where/how I can contact Zeiss to purchase them?

regards,
William

Hi William,
I was referring to the strain-free 1,4 NA top that can still be purchased directly from Zeiss - I don't think they stock the entire condensers any longer. I don't know what to ask for the condenser as I've seen very few of these for sale. PM me with what you think is a fair offer.
Chris
