The new bee season has arrived

It's been a while since I posted in this forum and have meanwhile upgraded to a fullframe thanks to Santa Claus discounts ;-) on top of which I am still using my 180 mm macro ahd a twinflash. Images made handheld.

Currently overhere the next insect season has started and first solitary bees emerge. Here's a shot on a male Andrena flavipes letting me come a bit closer then usual. Hope you enjoy ...

Strikingly similar to a regular honeybee, but it does have differences. Well done!

Well Mark thanks for the remark, indeed they do resemble the honeybees. I am actually speciliazing on making shots on solitary bees and will post more that do differ 'a lot ' ;-) Nice animals with a sometimes very surprising ecology .
