Beautiful composition @Hayath!

I have admired your wonderful work at mu-43.com as well.

Were beetle and mantis photos shot are 1:1 magnification on m4/3 sensor? Have you tried higher magnification using the same lighting rig (that you posted previously)?

Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Walter and zzffnn for the kind words, truly appreciated :)

zzffnn - too kind, thanks much for the support.
The leaf beetle was pretty close to 1:1, while the mantis was maybe about 1:4

Some images on the Olympus 60mm along with the Raynox 250 (with this combo the subject gets the best possible surround light)

One of my faves from the recent past

The strong brow ridge and nostrils of the crab spider make it very expressive. Wonderful images!
The trouble with quick and dirty is that the dirty remains after the quick is gone.

very good picture series ... but the "pretty coreydae" one impressed me .. what a beautiful light. This DIY diffuser is doing a very good job.

Thanks much, the diffuser works great as long as the subject is "within ideal range" :)
