Zircon from Summit Rock, Oregon

Post by microcollector »

These tiny pale pink zircons are difficult to find on a specimen, let alone photograph. The brown crystals are enstatite. This was self collected at Summit Rock, Klamath County, Oregon and is also for my presentation. It a stack of 48 images using Helicon Focus.

You captured it very clearly in this picture. Very small, very isolated, and I suppose very pure. I'm always impressed by how selective a "simple" physical crystallization can be.
