Not seen them with that yellow colour here Brian, love that colour and almost mimicking a wasp of some sort. Interesting.

Beautiful shots and well timed and captured. Sharp as a tack and superb details.

I always love spotting those Xanthogrammas - they're almost neon yellow! Lovely as usual Brian...

Thanks for the comments all - appreciated.

Laurie - found out something about the Xanthogrammas today. Found a newly emerged one for the second time and for the second time got attacked by black ants whilst photographing it. Looked it up and apparently the larvae inhabit black ant's nests (lasius niger) which might explain the rather coincidental proximity :)

These are some amazing shots.. And with the MP65. Now I see I have a lot to learn :shock:
The season has just started here in Norway.. So much to look forward to.
