Commercial slides are nice because someone else has done all the hard work. I have a few myself but most all are faded and lost their detail and color. Good prepared slides are expensive. Fun to photograph though, beautiful shots! :D

Commercial slides

Post by Olympusman »

For the most part I have found commercial slides of satisfying quality. That said, sometimes the sedtioins are too thick, you might have a groove from a nick in the knife or the staining might be too heavy. But the price is often very good. On eBay 100 slide sets go for about $100, and they are great to have around in the winter.
