Epifluorescence. Insect heads

Post by MASZEK »

Hello.

I often shoot heads of insects in UV light. Sometimes I get interesting color effects.

Greetings

Very nice. What type of UV light are you using?

Hi jmc.

Thank you for your opinion.

I illuminate the objects that I photograph with diodes.
The wavelength is 365 nm.

Thanks Maszek,

I've done a lot of UV photography work with xenon and mercury xenon lamps, but so far haven't used LEDs. The effect looks great though, so I may well give it a go for microscopy.
