This is interesting, probably a bit scary for some. Could you make an experiment and test how long you need to zap the sponge in the microwave oven to kill the bacteria?

Hi. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. Unfortunately I don't have a microwave. I guess we are surrounded by bacteria and immunized against much of it

Kitchen bacteria

A few years ago I bought a couple of ultraviolet flashlights and gave one to my wife. After a few days of sweeping the kitchen and bathrooms, she gave hers back. She didn't want to know.

Interesting experiment, thanks for sharing this clip!
I heard that in an average household the toilet is the cleanest place and stuff like sponges and cleaning cloths are the dirtiest.
