Fresh water Ciliate: Stentor coeruleus
Used Zeiss Axioscope, Nikon Optiphot and Olympus E microscopes, photographed with Nikon D700, D500 and D800 cameras

Bright field showing basal cup, this ciliate just injested a rotifer visible in vacuole near the foot.

Beautiful shots. The fourth one 'DIC microscopy' is dry NA0.9 or oil NA1.4 and stack from how many pictures?

63X objective Dry - no stacking

The 4th shot is not stacked of the Stentor, neither is the 5th shot showing the macronucleus, it was taken with a 63X objective NA 085 dry Zeiss infinity objective.
