Hairy Footed Bee

Post by Dalantech »

I've been planting my yard to attract more critters and this Hairy Footed Bee is a new visitor. It was overcast and cool and the critter was having a hard time keeping it's metabolism going, so I coaxed it onto a flower and when it would pause I'd look for a composition.

Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (2x and 3x) + a diffused MT-26EX RT (E-TTL metering with -1/3 FEC). These are single, uncropped, frames taken hand held. In post I used Topaz Sharpen AI, Denoise AI, and Clarity in that order.

Very well done.

Thanks! Always tricky shooting a critter that's semi active but I like the challenge.
