there is no other camera on the market with such sensor, so you cannot make a fair comparison.
ILCE 7RIV or GFX100 should produce comparable results.
they both use sony sensor technology, which has better performance regarding to noise.
buy the camera, try it, and if you are not happy with it, return it
do you know anybody who can offer such service?
in germany (and I believe everywhere in the EU) all web stores are obliged to offer a refund option with no questions asked.
I think B&H etc are pretty good in that regard too, but I would check first.

Hello Chris,
Thank you for the hints!
they both use sony sensor technology, which has better performance regarding to noise.
could you tell me please, where can I find the test/comparison of the noise of the M6II and ILCE 7RIV ?

I found a very useful feature by Chris S:
https://www.photomacrography.net/forum/ ... sc&start=0

And now missing mirror for laser aiming under high magnifications.
Turns out new Canon EOS 90D, is the same as M6II but with the mirror :)
https://youtu.be/NSMegftaVCc?t=373

Full electronic shutter, IR remote, aand with "connectivity". 300gramms more than M6II and bulkier though (701 g vs 408g, and M3 is only !!!262 g!!). Which is bad. But... I am afraid i will buy that instead now.

Or someone please suggest aiming solution for mirrorless cameras instead.

the site Robert mentioned is a good start with lots of sensor info:
http://www.photonstophotos.net/Charts/RN_ADU.htm
and dynamic range is useful too:
http://www.photonstophotos.net/Charts/PDR.htm

but frankly I think we all worry too much about technical specs, todays cameras are all so good that they exceed the needs of most uses. do you really need 30+ megapixels?
if so, you might be better off with a full frame camera, or one that does pixel shift.

Hi guys,
Many thanks for the links!

90D or M6II = diesel or electric car :-)

do you really need 30+ megapixels?
I would expect better resolution of the M6II with 32MP for my lens with NA=0.75.

They have the very same 32MP Canon sensor and image processor.

Thanks. Very informative graphs. A6300 is such a monster, it performs at ISO800 as good as M6II at ISO100! I love it but i am not going to switch to sony no-no-noooo.

Hello Oleksandr,
According to the graph the M6II should be better than 90d and M3

This graph is probably not accurate, because i know for sure both cameras share the same sensor, so they should perform identical.
I agree with you that D90 is Diesel, but aiming at high mags is really difficult and that mirror will make it possible. You will not find correct region at 50X believe me. I tried to do that at 10X and it takes time every time even at 10X.

Please suggest a solution or else... or i will buy 700 gramm monster.

UPDATE: Byt the way, that laser solution is not perfect. I am sure it can damage colors of a subject. Simply by laser burnings. No?

yes, I know therefore
And the M3 with 24 MP should produce more noise than M6II with 32MP ?

I’m afraid I haven’t caught the joke about the mirror :-)
I have a 6D too but I use it only in the live-view. The mirror has only and only one advantage: it protects the chip :-)
The time of the mirror is over. Especially in the macro-photography with focus-stacking.

But if you really wanted to explore your subject you should use something like that:

ADi, mirror is not a joke. Please watch this post by Chris S:

I have no problem with positioning. I have problem with aiming. Laser solution looks very convenient, but you need the mirror. Or please suggest better/other solution.

Nice links BTW, never saw them. As usual. This forum is a black hole of information and accessible only with the direct links.

Hello Oleksandr,
I have no problem with positioning.
You have mentioned high magns. So, you will probably want to take the photographs of the very colorful scales. What do you expect from this kind of aiming?

Purpose of the laser is finding point of interest on a subject. You switching that laser through the viewfinder and aiming it by guidance of the laser. After that you switching it off and shoot. You can`t find it without the laser. I mean good luck with that i have tried that nightmare.

This needed for switching from 10X to 50X for example. To shoot same subject point. So they match.

Now suggest me a solution or face the mirror resurrection.

Hello Oleksandr,
Have I understood you correctly?
You don’t look for the interesting motives via display (of the camera or computer)
but determine them from the side by the observing of the laser beam on the subject.
