Popping Popcorn

Post by fisheyeadventures »

Hey everyone,
last week I tried to capture macro footage of popping popcorn.
Therefore I used a highspeed camera from photron, the Fastcam Mini AX200 with just one megapixel (full frame) resolution, but offering almost 1 million images per second.
Normally I focus on macro "photogrpahy", but this time moving images really reveal some beautiful captures.
What do you think of those captures? Probably the light is not ideal... and I could have gotton closer... I used a 300W LED torch to lighten up the scene. Using diffuse light would have delivered better results, but then I would have to reduce the frame rate... Quite difficult, but exciting setup
