Really nice microscopy! The organism in the first video does not look like a ciliate, to me. It appears to be a ciliated metazoan (animal).

As far as I see, this is not a ciliate, but a flat worm (Tutbellaria, Rhabdocoela). He was pressed tightly, so that part of the inner parenchyma squeezed out at the posterior end of the body. Two black pigment spots in front are the eyes.houstontx wrote:Unknown marine cilliate:
