Mystery subject

Post by Olympusman »

I noticed that we haven't had a poser for awhile, so here is a subject.
If you are like me (which I hope for your own sake you are not) this is a part of a common household item.

It is a detail of a wire cage that goes around the cork on a champagne bottle. Trust me - I shot it (and was forced to drink Mimosas with my wife).

Sorry i'm a bit dyslexic.
I read your answer post (not noticing that you had posed the question in the first place) as is it instead of it is.

Judging from the corrosion on the surface, this was not from last year’s grapes. Perhaps the vintage was worthy of straight consumption and not dilution with orange juice? ????

Champagne

Post by Olympusman »

Cook's Brut - California non-vintage. As the French have argued that sparkling wines not from the Champagne region of France are not true champagnes, it still does have the desired effect. (Spanish Frexinet isn't too shabby either).
