Impressive work, well done! Light is quite hard though, with a better diffusion it would look much better.

You are absolutely right. Compared to the Moth image, this is like elementary. I am testing the system and will improve on lighting setup which should not be very hard -- the optics only move along Z axis, so there are room for diffusion.

Super. I think that the harder reflections on the black parts work really well and helps provide definition and separates them from the black background.

thank Nanometer, yeah harsh light does help a bit in that regard :D But I will definitely diffuse it more and maybe it will also help isolating it from black bg.
