The Blob or Sunrise from Mercury

Post by augusthouse »

Wasn't sure where to put this.

Can anyone indicate what they think it may be - pollen, etc?

It was found in the hairy parts of a moth from Madagascar.

Some mallow pollen looks like the spiky spheres.

Thanks Rik,

I'll see if I can isolate it and have a better look.

Came across these images during a Google search.

Pollen. What species :smt102

SEM images, like you have found, really excel at showing pollen (compared to an optical microscope).
