Here is a short video demonstrating the use of an Alt-Az telescope mount as a 2-axis stage for closeup photography.

I had built this a few years ago but had to cannibalize it. The above is "first light" test shots after rebuilding it.

This is a video I shot from the original setup, its a little more "chip porny" but you get the idea.

This above video is presented without the time lapse, showing the actual speed of the mount, you can make out some vibration which was ringing / resonating with the fixture . When you get below ~30 degrees / minute, its smooth like butter.
