I got the response back from Helicon Software:

"Sure, Helicon Focus Pro can open, process dng and save the output to dng.

Actually, you can open ARW directly and save the output to jpeg, tiff or dng."

Sounds very promising for processing the A7Rm4 files, either directly from ARW files (maybe with no added sharpening?), or after PS2DNG processing.

Looks like I need to do some more testing on the files I have to see what it can do.
