hello from marin

Post by ap »

Hi everyone,

I've been 'lurking' on this site for about a 18mos now and have learned everything I know from you all! It's real impressive how much knowledge is available here - thank you all.

I live in the bay area and am primarily interested in studio macro and micro photography. My main go-to camera is a Canon 5d mk4. I have a couple of mitty lenses, the 5400, newly acquired PN's from Ray :D , and a BH2 with eBay cobbled together DIC. For focus stacking I use the Wemacro rail and Zerene. My family thinks I'm a bit weird with my new hobby and are not that interested in seeing my photos, though they begrudgingly agree that some of them are cool. :)

Not sure why I haven't posted earlier, but I did have some trouble (on my end) posting images. I'm finally making the effort in part due to Ray Parkhurst's encouragement (I have a couple of his lenses).

All the best,

Andy

Nicely captured - I especially like the last two. If Marin (CA?) like Santa Cruz (CA) has an annual artist's "Open Studios" -- you're in.

Andrew, welcome to image posting! These look great!

I am especially fond of the red/white/blue/black moth. Is it one of the Ctenucha's?

Very nice images. I was most impressed by the lighting - very dynamic.
