WTB or borrow Schneider Micro-Symmar 2.8/50

Post by RobertOToole »

By any chance anyone have one of these line scan lenses to sell of maybe loan?

The Micro-Symmar not Makro-Symmar.

I'm looking for a copy to compare to another 50mm lens.

Please let me know.

Robert

Hi Lou,

One batch that I know of came up for sale on eBay a few years ago. Hoping someone on the forum bought one. :-k
It seemed like a limited production lens. SK did not sell it for very long anyway. I think I might have found the private label version.

Best,

Robert

We all had some good discussion on this lens back in 2020, see this link:

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=42523&hilit=micro+symmar

In my tests the lens was pretty disappointing.

For the record you were the first person I asked Ray!

No luck so far.

I have a hunch I know the private label version.

Any leads?

Best,

Robert
