Parting with some items: objectives and scarce Olympus parts

Post by Macro_Cosmos »

Time to part with some of my prized toys after an annoying injury.

Objectives:
Motic, also rebranded as Edmund Optics.
$299: 2x Plan Apo ELWD
$399: 5x Plan Apo ELWD
$350: 20x Plan Apo ELWD (scuffs on front optic)
One of my photos taken with the 20x was shortlisted for a contest:

Qioptiq Mag.x 5x: needs 250mm tube lens, exceptional quality with 200mm and 180mm, shrunken magnification.
Free custom brass RMS>M34 adaptor

$599: Olympus UMPlanFL 100x NA0.95, dry
$300: Unlabelled Zeiss Epiplan Neofluar NA0.9, came from Witec Raman confocal system
$699: Edmund Optics TechSpec infinity-corrected 15x NA0.28 reflex objective, broadband
$349: Olympus UPlanFL N 10x Ph1 (first-hand used)

Olympus parts:
$999 U-DICTH: high resolution transmitted DIC slider
$399: U-DIC10s (not 499, made a typo)
$999: WI-UCD
$699: WI-DIC60HR
$599: WI-DIC20HR

interesting stuff you are selling!

I would like to test the U-DICTH slider in my poorman's Frankenstein DIC setup although I can't justify the price :(

Are you selling a Qioptiq Mag.x 5x?

At your linked Instagram post you say
(Superachromats are slightly less corrected than semiapochromats/fluorites, this tube lens does outperform the Thorlabs Nikon ITL200 which is labelled apochromatic).
AFAIK the term superachromat means superior to apochromat, although the therm is not very popular. Some makers prefer "superapochromat" that sounds fancier

Thanks for the correction, I meant "semiapochromat", how did that turn into superachromat? Must be a brainfart.
For the U-DICTH to function correctly, you will need special HR prisms for higher magnification especially, else it will be like oblique.
I *might* sell the 5x mag.x, second I know to exist. I paid quite a lot for it.

Objectives:
Motic, also rebranded as Edmund Optics.
$350: 20x Plan Apo ELWD (scuffs on front optic)
Do these marks harm the final result of the photograph?
Would you have any sample photos taken with this lens?
Could I see a photo of the lens and those marks on the front?
Thank you very much

It is AR coating scuffs, very hard to photograph. I will try when I find the time.
Aside from the shortlisted image, more can be found on my Flickr profile.
