mitutoyo objective case

Post by ap »

Hi - does anyone know where i could buy a Mitutoyo M plan apo objective case? Doesn't necessarily have to be the original case, but would prefer it due to its stability

Thank you!

Andy

The threads are thin just like on the original Mitutoyo case, but at least the cap is thicker so holds on better

Let me clarify what I think Christophe is asking.

Original Mitutoyo lens capsules have come in at least two and perhaps three thread pitches that I've seen. Most are a coarse thread pitch that works well. But some are a finer pitch that does not work well--it's finicky.

So I think the question is whether the vials currently on eBay or aliexpress are the desirable coarse pitch or the undesirable fine pitch.

The eBay ones I got years ago have the nice coarse thread pitch, and very similar to the better Mitutoyo originals. I'm very happy with mine.

I suspect the current offerings are also good, but can't say for sure. But from what is pictured, and from what other members are reporting, I'd go ahead and buy them.
