Ant In Space!

Post by JayMcClellan »

Today I tried out some Python-based focus stacking software that I got from https://pypi.org/project/focus-stack/ and when I ran it on a stack of images of an ant, something went horribly wrong. But the image it generated is pretty cool! You can see bits and pieces of the ant's abdomen and legs flying through space. I think it was a one-off because it hasn't done anything similar since. Eventually I got it to produce a halfway decent focus-stacked image but that was boring in comparison.

Yesterday we just had to worry if pigs could fly, now all the guardrails are off!
