Hi all,
I just received an American Optical XH10TU-LW. It is in great condition except for one problem. While unpacking it I heard a rattling sound and found that a mirror, that should be mounted on a 45 deg. bracket, was lose. My question is should I re-glue it to the bracket with super glue or some other adhesive. I also have two sided tape. The bracket is secured with three springs and screws so I realize I will have to re-align it. And the first pic shows a plug. What does it do and what is it supposed to be connected to?
Thanks,
henryr

Re: AO series 10 loose mirror
I know nothing. I suppose the mirror is to direct light to the specimen? I can't tell where the light is from the pictures, but presumably its in the base...
I would not use superglue until you are absolutely certain exactly where and how to position it.
