Hey guys, would be great to see some of you make entries to this competition. We have been sponsored by EZ Photo Gear and there is a snazzy 11" variable friction arm up for grabs to the winner.

Please do not enter before the 1st of May.

Rules are as follows .....

1. ENTRY
1.1. The deadline for submission is midnight on May 31st 2012
1.2. Entry to the competition is free and is open for worldwide entrants
1.3. Each entrant can submit up to three images in total. In the event of a fourth being submitted, only the first three will be considered
1.4. The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright
1.5. Post a medium sized (500px) image into the competition thread to enter
1.6. Number your post incrementally in the thread for voting later
1.7. Pictures posted after the entry deadline will be deleted from the thread.
1.8. You must be a member of this group to enter.

2. IMAGE
2.1. Image must be at least 4Mp in size
2.2. You must include info on; the camera used, the optics, the magnification ratio, the number of shots, the light source and the stacking software.
2.3. Image must be taken in the same month as the competition runs.

3. ACCEPTANCE
3.1. The image you enter is only accepted into the group at the administrators discretion. The administrators can remove an image from the competition at any time.
3.2. Only images that meet the requirements of entry into the group pool will be accepted. Requirements to enter into the group pool are as follows.
3.3. Image is of an insect
3.4. Image has been focus stacked using any stacking software, preferably more than 10 images
3.5. A ratio of more than 1:1 has been used
3.6. No obvious defects like OOF bands, soft focus bands is acceptable
3.7. No filthy insects covered in dust, unless the dust is of particular interest in the image (eg, pollen)
3.8. Image needs to be in in good focus
3.9. Image needs to be well lit
3.10. Image needs to have relatively low noise for a stacked image
3.11. Insects is a all encompassing term, arachnids and any other arthropod is all good.

VOTING
4.1. All entrants must vote, if you do not vote before the voting deadline you will be disqualified.
4.2. Vote for your personal favorite five images in order from best to worst (or least best ;))
4.3. Voting will be open for 7 days starting at the entry deadline.
4.4. Leave one comment in the competition thread in the format xx,xx,xx,xx,xx where xx denotes the number of the image you are voting for
