For free-free stable diffusion is open source and can be run at home.

I have just installed "Stable Diffusion UI" V2.4.23 under Ubuntu.

Hello everybody,
Does anyone know how to define the initial image, which is then taken as a base and only slightly modified? Best,

Re: The best freeware for creating AI images
That looks interesting. I don't know what is the best AI image maker that is free. But i have access to DALL-E 2 (which is a free online platform) : https://openai.com/dall-e-2/ .
I was granted access by applying and waiting about 2 weeks. Now I just goof around in there, having it make images with a single descriptive sentance.
This is one of the images that came out with "A digital art image of a frog singing on stage"
15FrogOnStage by Marcoli Sturtevantione, on Flickr
And this is "A photo-realistic picture of a praying mantis wedding". I wanted tuxedos and bridal veils, but DALL-E 2 had other ideas!

One quickly sees limitations with a simple command. People and animal faces are often wrong, for example. But there are ways to make very sophisticated images by using computer coded language. I don't know how to do that. but here is one link: https://beta.openai.com/docs/guides/images/introduction .
There are also YouTube descriptions.

Hi Mark ,
Really nice pictures!
My original idea was to define two initial images that would then be combined by AI.

DALL E2 can take images and mess with them. I don't know about whether it can combine images.

Re: The best freeware for creating AI images
Very nice. For several months, I've been experimenting with different AI platforms. We are at an exciting time in history, at least for me. Sort of like the DOS era for all of this technology. I wish I were 60 years younger. For the last few months, I've been playing with Nvidia NeRF. About 7 years ago I experimented with VisualSFM with decent results.
