Hello everybody, this is my first post in the forum. actually i have been reading here long time, but i have never been ready to write

I am also not good in english.

I started macro photography three months ago. on that times i had not enough equipment. I had only D7000, 105mm macro and raynox msn-202.

I decided to make a slider for macro because i did not have one. but i had "LEGO mindstorm ev3" set. i could have used that. and i did

I would expect that your unique rail system would have a problem with advancing to a consistent position, but clearly you have everything well under control.

Eventually, i finished to make final macro set-up. This process has taken long time. Thanks to mirrorless dslr (with efsc) and some vibration-reducing parts vibro problem is almost gone.

I used four pieces for reducing vibration under the set-up. this pieces made of Bridge-Girder elastomeric bearing plate (which use on bridge construction).

And one of the first shot, I could not find a new specimen due to winter. I had to use a very old and dirty house-fly for that reason.

I will guess that the 2nd insect is a kind of rove beetle. Although there is some diversity in their form and size, a similar one looks like this:

Cause i prefer continuous lighting rather than flash. Led lighting is not as strong as flash lighting. So, if you want to get enough exposure on your photo than you should keep open your shutter how much you need.

I had never heard of the use of "Bridge-Girder elastomeric bearing plates" before. In your opinion how good are they at minimizing vibrations?

I have also never seen anywhere like mine. But i think all work with same basis. they consist of elastic material and reduce vibration.

to get back your question

I am kinda newbie about macro, and i was using nikon d7000 up to a month ago. When i upgraded my setup to mirrorless (sony), that was big revolution for me. Big part of my vibration problem is gone.

I think i need some more experices to say something about my vibration reducing pieces performace.

And I will...

Hate to continue on about this, and it is a small matter

but i really think this is a rove beetle. There are 1000's of species, diverse in size and color and proportion. Look at the dorsal side, and I bet you will see the front wings are modified into short elytra.
