A Flower for the New Year!

Post by Cyclops »

OK this is a Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera cultivar), but it was late budding this year, and today a flower finally opened!
This is about half lifesize, and with the tripod braced over the err, toilet it was as close as I could get!

A happy new year to you , Cy! You got nice coloration and composition here. The background would be better if it were a couple of stops darker. I often forget my backgrounds myself.

I don't know, the background looks okay to me. Not bad for "potty photography."
