Here are some images of a Violet wood-sorrel Oxalis violacea, a small native perennial herb in the family Oxalidaceae. It occurs mostly east of the Rocky Mountains, US and eastern Canada. The flower is about 1.3 cm long and very colourful which captured my attention. The images were mostly taken with the 1DM4. Lenses used were the MP-e65 and the ef 100mm f2.8 macro IS usm with extension tubes.
The image below was taken late in the afternoon. When using the 1DM4 silent mode, the live view is disabled so I didnt notice that the pedals were slowly closing while the images were being taken.
Thanks for looking!
