Experimenting with reflections from oblique POV.

Thanks. Here is an earlier attempt, but using a shiny brass surface instead of a penny. I misjudged the number of shots and never got around to doing a longer stack.

This is super cool. I've only ever photographed coins with a vertical setup, but it never occurred to me to shoot them at an angle like this. You can really see the height of the letter embossing and the reflection of the salt crystals on the flat surface.. =D>

Thanks, fofx. I have a horizontal rig so I had to tilt the penny down. The tilt angle in the image was about as far as I could go before the salt started to slide off. I hope to do more of these ‘landscape’ macros with materials other than pennies and salt.
