That is different! You evidently fairly stopped the motion in your pictures. Normally pictures of these things have motion effects.

Thanks. I built a stand that held the spoarkler horizontal to the camera and then took sucessive photos as the burn point passed across the field of view. What fascinated me was the abrupt changes in the trajectories of the particles, sometime even turning around. Also the bursts at the end of the particles life.
