We're in September and the larvae of many shrimps thrive in the marine plankton now, like this one. 9x, Nikkor BD plan 10x. I find particularly fascinating their last segment, the telson, which it is important for their taxonomical classification. 20x, Nikkor BD plan 20x.

Interesting. The 2nd one took me a moment, but it shows 'apolysis', where the epidermis has pulled away from the cuticle so that a new cuticle can be laid down. Soon it would molt to the next instar.
