Dryer sheet
4X macro of a used dryer sheet. To jazz it up a bit (ok, maybe a lot), the only illumination is a back-light -- a Litemons/Godox 6R LED mini-panel set to 126 degrees on the color wheel and dialed back to 35% output. I assume that the oval blobs, which are laid out in a hexagonal pattern on the fiber scrim, are remnants of the active ingredient which weren't used up during the drying cycle. For subject staging, I salvaged the safety-cap ring from a gallon orange-juice jug and stretched and glued a fragment of the sheet to it, per the attached photo. Nikon D810, reversed Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens at f/4 on PB-6 bellows. Thirty-two frames at 20-micron focus intervals on StackShot.
