Tabanidae

Post by quenoteam »

A close-up of this dipteorus insect of two big eyes, which in some species has iridescent red or green spots or stripes. In the case of males, the eyes are together while in females they are separated. The chest and abdomen often have a pattern of markings. The wings are relatively long, keeping them at rest on the body slightly open "like open scissors". They are powerful flyers, and their sting is quite painful for humans, I know from my own experience.

These are two approaches to this insect
Both with Canon EOS 6D camera and MJKZZ Xtreme Pro rail + IR Remote Motion Controller

Hi

Very nice and well stacked images, a pleasure.

The difference of Mitutoyo M Plan APO 5/0.15 and Mitutoyo M Plan APO 50x 0.55 is not well seen in the forum image.
But when you look closely, you can see a clear difference even in the small low resolution images shown here!

In general, you should only magnify as much as absolutely necessary.
For images on the Internet, a high aperture is not necessarily needed.

That is just gorgeous work that respects the sacrifice of the subject.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. Interesting that comparison in my photos between the Mitu 5x and 50x that Guppy made. The resolving power is obviously not the same. But I am happy with my new acquisition (Mitu 50x)

Greetings!
