Hunting through a specimen of skarn marble rock from eastern Fresno County, California, I wanted to get images of the clear chondrodite crystals in the white calcite marble, and found one area that featured a nice black ludwigite crystal. After composing some other images, came across a similar situation. Only after stacking and looking at the images did I realize that two were exactly aligned and with only about a 20% overlap - the obvious next step was 'photomerge' in PS. The minute green prismatic is the extremely rare chestermanite, only found at this locality.
Taken with my new (used) 20X Mitutoyo lens, antique Canon 50D body, flash with custom white balance, ZS Dmap with Pmax corrections, WeMacro with 2 micron steps, the left half was 100 steps, the right half 150 steps.
