Small light brown fly (Scathophaga)

Post by Guppy »

Hi

To the delight of stackers, small flies often have few hairs.
They thus cause few problems with focus stacking artifacts in intersecting hairs,
or that a highly textured background also shows up in large black hairs.
There are also exceptions,
here a small light brown fly with 10mm body length and lots of hairs.

Hi
I suspect that it is the genus Scathophaga,
probably the species S. stercoraria.
