Cubic pyrite crystals

Post by RoxnDox »

Worked with a fist-sized mass of crystalline pyrite today. Sat it on a fence rail out on the deck, natural shaded light. Tripod and focus rail, Pentax K-50 w/ Tamron SP Di 90mm Macro. Images stacked on the Mac using Focus Stacker and a bit of editing in Gimp. Hopefully the links won't be a problem this time, I am using the tiny url server on them.

Hmm, I did have to use the [url] tags, because the tiny url address doesn't end with '.jpg' and it evidently doesn't recognize it as an image when using the [img] tags. Ah well.
I go by "Jim" in real life, "RoxnDox" on here...

Really nice, I like the lighting a lot, soft but not uninteresting, well done!
