Yes there is. This is an oyster mushroom. Went riding on my CR500 up into the woods behind my house specifically to explore for more mushrooms. We hit the jackpot and harvested only a portion and got 12.5 lbs. These are on fallen birch logs of which some are supported on other debris above the ground. To grow like this it was on the underside of the log. The attachment to the log is on the back directly opposite this view. This orientation is the view you would have laying under the log looking straight up at it.
