Strange Eggs - AGAIN!

Gang

Another lost female decided to deposit her eggs on my porch screen.

I harvested a few and included the protective strands that made up the
"sack".

The iridescence is also interesting.

Interesting. They should be Lepidopteran.

Hi Mark

Thanks for the formal name. From my previous post, I know it is some
kind of butterfly or moth, but insterstingly, the last egg set was in a batch
of four. The female laid four long strands of a silken-covered mesh that
containd the eggs.

I can only assume she was drawn by the light coming from our kitchen.

Sad, but her loss and my gain. At least I was able to enjoy the eggs.
