Gulf Fritillary (Agraulis vanillae) egg at 4X

This was laid on a dried passionvine tendril. I keep hoping to find an egg on a dry tendril in a tighter spiral. I have located them on tightly coiled green tendrils before, but they have the annoying habit of uncoiling while being photographed.
