Wild rose buds. Aphids on grass blade.

Post by Charles Krebs »

First image with Canon 100mm macro, the rest with the Canon 65mm MPE.

The rose buds are small... red petal section is about about 7mm front to back. Taken on kitchen table with window light on overcast day.

The aphids were taken with electronic flash, camera mounted on vertical stand. They were an unusual pale yellow color.

Here, one appears to have been parasitized, perhaps by a small wasp.

That first rose is like a ballerina!

Also, I like the way your aphids are so orderly.
