I've been cleaning up my workshop and found all of these blades in my oife. Plus, out of curiosity, I bought some more. These were all shot at the same magnification.
Stanley Box Knife Blade
Dollar store blade that snaps off section to get a new point.

Cool! I'm going to try this eventually. I always loved the macro shots of chisel and blade edges in the Leonard Lee "Sharpening" book, and these are better in some ways (they're in color, for one).

It's interesting the degree to which the quality of the edge grinds on the different blades vary. Some have two or three levels of fine ness on the ground edges while the Stanley box knife has only one fineness of grind on it.

Good, the grind is clear, I always get harsh reflections instead. The orange backgound fits just right, let's copy that.
