Honeybees

Post by Dalantech »

The first two frames were taken at a beekeeper's house (he opened a hive for me) and the last one is on a Sunflower at our farm. All of the images were taken at life size with a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens. I used an MT-24EX macro twin flash with a set of home made diffusers for the light source. Hand held.

Great shots. The first shows honey or nectar in the cells.

I like the middle one best. :D

Have you any others of bees in the hive? It's something I'd love to have a go at!

All three lovely shots mate (as we kinda expect from you!) - could be a tad bigger though... :)

Fantastic diffuse light in the first and third particularly...
