Tussock Moth Caterpillar
Tussock moth caterpillar traveling across a crocus leaf on the side of the house. Canon 30D with 180mm macro and a dollar store foamie for a background to get rid of clutter.

Re: Tussock Moth Caterpillar
This is an exquisite picture of what I consider one of the most difficult caterpillars. (they crawl fast, and its hard to get a good focal plant on the front tufts). I am taking notes here!

Re: Tussock Moth Caterpillar
Ya, rarely see Tussock moth caterpillars 'round here, mostly Cabbage Whites and Forest Tent caterpillars with the latter having an incredible population explosion every fifteen years or so which freaks out the local citizenry.
