Tiger beetle - Cicindela lengi
I am the new kid on the block and just getting a feel for this site. Well done! No simple thing to get that picture.
From what I see of it, your subject could be a big sands tiger beetle (Cicindela formosa).

Entomologist, John Acorn and author of "Tiger Beetles of Alberta: Killers on the Clay, Stalkers on the Sand" and Bug Guide have confirmed it to be a Cicindela lengi via other pictures I have. I think I got this posting reply figured out.MarkSturtevant wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 8:17 pmWell done! No simple thing to get that picture.

Talk about "a bad day at the office," for the fly that is. Great shot.
