Getting down low with a fungus.
Nikon D300
Tokina atx pro 100mm f2.8 macro lens
Taken at f5.6 1/500 sec
No flash, Sunlight only
Single shot.

Wonderful tones and textures, I like the dark vignette, gives it an otherworldly look.

Thank you both.

It was a very harsh bright midday sun,hence 1/500 sec.
The vignette had to be applied over and over to calm things down and help focus on the curves and folds.

Would have missed the separation of layers perspective, had I been shooting from above.
