Pollen Covered Bees

Post by Dalantech »

I'm still alive and kicking, just don't post much on forums anymore. Plus we moved to a new city and I'm just recently getting back into macro. Here's a few recent shots of pollen covered bees. Like always theses shots are single frames (no focus stacking), hand held, and I do not crop in post. If you click through the images to my Flickr gallery you can get all the tech details. Also when I list the magnification that's the mag that I had the MP-E 65mm set to. There are still a lot of people who think that the crop factor of their sensor changes the magnification of an image -it doesn't...

Lots of fun exposing dark colored subjects against bright yellow Dandelions but really no choice if I want to shoot early spring solitary bees. Dandelions are pretty much the preferred pollen and nectar source this time of year.
