Back in the field again! Weekend macros

Post by hayath »

Got boxed in again for a couple of months, managed to break out for a few hours. Some finds from the field

1.

Chance shot of a dead moth, almost looks like Darth vader

2.

3.

An ant-mimic jumper with a single pedipalp

4.

A tortoise-shell beetle with interesting color

5.

The sheen and colors on this fly were stunning

All shot on the Olympus OMD EM10 m2, 60mm macro, Godox TT 350O with a DIY diffuser

C&C sought :)

Cheers!

All of the shots are great.
I really like the tortoise-shell beetle shot. The hole in the leaf next to the beetle adds a lot of interest to the photograph.

Excellent images ... particularly the fly and the beetle ... and taken with minimal and very portable apparatus

And now for something completely different.

Thanks a ton, gents!

dunksargent - Agree, I love the portability the Olympus system gives me :)
Dassi - Yes, was amazed at the unique coloration. Decided to leave the hole in the leaf as I too felt it balanced out the image
