Long leg fly

I like the symmetry of the photo. The detail of the mouth parts, eyes and fine hairs between the eyes is nicely shown.

Can you share some of the details of your equipment? That may help us suggest techniques or equipment adjustments that may be beneficial.

The fly may have had long legs, but it is not of the dolichopodidae (Longlegged Fly) family. I suspect it may be Syrphidae (Flower Fly) or kin. Others may have ID suggestions.
